Metal Gear Solid is a stealth action game developed by Konami. The game follows the story of Solid Snake, a special forces soldier sent to infiltrate a military base on Shadow Moses Island to stop a powerful bipedal tank known as Metal Gear.
Gameplay
The game is set in a fictional scenario where a terrorist group, FOXHOUND, has taken over a nuclear disposal facility. Solid Snake must navigate through the base, avoiding detection and fighting enemies, while uncovering the truth behind the mission and the motives of the terrorist group. In 2004, a remake titled Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes was released for the Nintendo GameCube, featuring graphical improvements, new cutscenes, and gameplay elements introduced in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty.
Forklifts
At the beginning of the original game, there is an arctic forklift that Solid Snake can use as cover to hide from patrolling guards. The forklift in the remake, The Twin Snakes, is completely different. It is yellow and parked closer to the wall, making it impossible for Snake to use as cover compared to the original PlayStation version.
