'''Control''' is a video game. The player plays as Jesse Faden, director of the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC), which is in crisis, as swathes of its agents are possessed by an unknown supernatural force. The FBC is a secret government department that researches and contains "Altered Items", "Objects of Power" and the "Altered World Events" that they cause or come through. Most of the gameplay is Jesse [[:Category:Fighting|fighting]] quasi-demonic possessees and manifestations, or solving puzzles, to re-take areas of her new department, to re-establish communication, and to investigate the causes of the events.

==Plot==
Jesse Faden, investigating the fate of her brother in an "altered world event" (AWE) that befell them both years ago, enters the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC) via the back exit, and by strange means, is appointed its director. The FBC is in lockdown since so many workers are possessed by unknown forces, and the player gradually retakes control of the FBC's headquarters, "The Oldest House", a sprawling place that seems to be an altered item itself.

Control is a third-person supernatural action-adventure developed by Remedy Entertainment. Players assume the role of Jesse Faden, the newly appointed director of the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC)—a clandestine government agency tasked with containing and studying paranatural phenomena. The game is set within the FBC's shifting, Brutalist headquarters, "The Oldest House," which has been invaded by a corruptive entity known as the Hiss.

Gameplay

The plot follows Jesse's search for her kidnapped brother, Dylan, while she navigates the FBC's crisis. Gameplay blends traditional shooting with telekinetic abilities gained by binding with "Objects of Power." Jesse can levitate, create shields, and manipulate the environment to fight possessed agents. The Oldest House acts as a Metroidvania-style environment, where players unlock new areas and lore through exploration and mission progression.

Forklifts

Forklifts are a common sight within the industrial and maintenance sectors of the Oldest House. Once Jesse unlocks her "Launch" telekinetic ability, these heavy vehicles become devastating weapons. Players can telekinetically lift and hurl forklifts at Hiss-infected enemies or use them to smash through environmental obstacles, providing a highly satisfying demonstration of Jesse's escalating power.
