Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX 2 is a 2002 BMX video game developed by Rainbow Studios and published by Activision. The game serves as a sequel to Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX and was released on August 13, 2002, for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox, with a Game Boy Advance port released on the same day and a GameCube port released on October 8, 2002. The game allows players to choose from eleven different professional BMX riders, each with unique stats, bikes, and trick sets. The gameplay involves performing and combining different tricks on a BMX bike, with successful executions adding to the player's score. Enhancements over the previous installment include improved graphics, new tricks, a trick tweaking system, a balance meter for grind and lip tricks, more riders, a longer career mode, a larger soundtrack, and larger, more interactive environments. The game features several modes, including Road Trip, Free Ride, and Tiki Battle, which is a bonus game that acts as a first-person shooter.
Since there are two different versions of the game there are also two different versions of the reach forklift. In the Game Boy Advance version all of the forklifts are stationary, while the version on the other platforms feature a NPC controlled forklift driving around the first level. It also serves as a game mechanic by lifting and moving a ramp for the player.
