Yakuza 0 is an action-adventure game developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and published by SEGA. Serving as a prequel to the original Yakuza, it is set in late 1988 during Japan's bubble era.
Gameplay
The story follows Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima as they become entangled in a conflict between Yakuza factions over a small piece of land known as the "Empty Lot". Kiryu, a junior member of the Dojima Family, must investigate a murder to prove his innocence, while Majima, a disgraced Yakuza member working as a cabaret manager in Sotenbori, is drawn into the same conspiracy. The game features an open-world environment, deep RPG elements, and visceral beat 'em up combat.
