Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 is a simulation video game developed by Red Dot Games, where players take on the role of an automotive mechanic. The game allows players to repair, paint, tune, and drive cars, with the ability to expand their workshop and complete increasingly complex repair tasks. Players can purchase damaged cars from the Barn Find and Junkyard modules, repair them, and either resell them or keep them in their collection.
The game features a first-person perspective, with a wide variety of tools and equipment that can be unlocked by completing jobs and earning experience. Additionally, the game includes a Car Editor, allowing players to create and add their own cars. The game was initially released for Microsoft Windows on July 28, 2017, with subsequent releases for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It also includes downloadable content that expands the range of cars available, with some cars being officially licensed replicas.
