Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption is a role-playing game developed by Nihilistic Software and published by Activision, released in 2000. The game follows the story of Christof Romuald, a French crusader who is felled by an arrow in battle and left behind in a convent in Prague, where he is nursed back to health by the young novice nun Anezka. As he heals, he becomes involved in a conflict against vampires and ghouls, eventually being Embraced by Ecaterina the Wise, a Promethean Brujah, and transforming into a vampire. The game is set in the World of Darkness and features a storyline that spans from the Dark Ages to modern-day London and New York City. Players make decisions that affect the story's outcome, and the game includes elements of vampiric disciplines and clan lore. The game was the first to use the World of Darkness setting and is known for its detailed narrative and exploration of the Vampire: The Masquerade universe.
