Time Crisis is a 3D first-person rail shooter developed by Namco and released in 1995. It became the foundation for a popular franchise and was later ported to the PlayStation in 1997, famously bundled with the GunCon light gun controller.
Gameplay
The game features a unique "duck and cover" mechanic, allowing players to hide behind objects to reload and avoid fire. Players must progress through areas by clearing enemies before a countdown timer reaches zero, as running out of time results in an instant game over. A life recovery system is also present, rewarding players with an extra life unit for every 40 "no-miss" hits achieved.
Forklifts
A yellow forklift appears in the background as the player progresses through the industrial environments of the game.
