Time Crisis is a first-person perspective gun game where the player can duck behind objects while moving through the game. The game was released in 1995 and was later ported for the PlayStation in 1997, bundled with the GunCon controller. The game is a 3D first-person rail shooter where the player aims and fires at on-screen enemies with a light gun. The game was almost an immediate hit and became the first arcade game in the popular Time Crisis game series. The game features a countdown timer, which is recharged by clearing an area of enemies, and running down the clock causes an instant game over. The game also has a life recovery system which gives the player one life unit if 40 no-miss hits are achieved.
A yellow forklift appears in the background as the player is progressing through the game.
