Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist is a video game in the Splinter Cell series, developed by Ubisoft Toronto and published by Ubisoft. It was released in August 2013 for multiple platforms, including Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and Xbox 360.
The game follows Sam Fisher, a highly trained agent of a fictional black-ops sub-division within the NSA, as he leads a new unit called Fourth Echelon to stop a dangerous terrorist group known as the Engineers, who threaten several terrorist attacks on American soil to force the US Military to pull out of its overseas bases.
The game introduces new gameplay elements, including three playstyles: Assault, Ghost, and Panther, allowing players to choose their approach to missions.
It also features a variety of stealth mechanics, such as the ability to abduct and carry enemies, and the use of gadgets like the Karambit knife and the Sticky Shocker.
