American Truck Simulator (ATS) was published on February 2, 2016 by SCS Software. The game has seen continuous development since its release and has featured numerous DLC expansions. The main gameplay loop of ATS consists of transporting cargo over long distances via tractor-trailer trucks. Third-party mod makers have greatly expanded the map of ATS to include parts of Mexico, Canada, and Alaska.

Forklifts

One of the many cargo options in ATS is a pair of forklifts. The two forklifts are indicated as weighing a collective 17,500 pounds and require the use of a drop deck trailer or a lowboy trailer to transport. They also require the player to have unlocked ranks in both the Fragile Cargo and High-Value Cargo skills. These forklifts are yellow-orange in color, generically modeled as "FL2100", of indistinct make, and feature folding forks.

Rough Terrain Forklift

Another forklift featured in ATS is the Rough Terrain forklift. This forklift was added with the Arkansas DLC, released by SCS Software on September 14, 2024. The rough terrain forklift weighs 29,000 pounds and requires a drop deck or flatbed trailer to transport. It requires the player to have unlocked the second level of the Urgent Delivery skill. The forklift is orange in color, generically designated as the "Vester TR7300", and features a fully enclosed cab and off-road tires.

Forklift Chassis

There is also a green forklift chassis present in the game, resembling the chassis of a large industrial forklift. Players can take on delivery jobs to transport the chassis to customers throughout the game world.
