Ninja Gaiden II is an action-adventure game where you play as Ryu Hayabusa, a super-fast ninja out for revenge. A year after the last game, the Black Spider Clan grabbed a CIA agent named Sonia and attacked Ryu’s home village. That’s your cue to slice, jump, and fight through enemies across places like New York and Tokyo.
The game was released 3. June 2008 and has since been remastered twice for releases to additional platforms, with its remasters named respectively Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 and Ninja Gaiden 2 Black.
Gameplay
The game doesn’t mess around. Enemies come at you hard, and you’ve got to block, dodge, and strike fast to survive. Ryu uses weapons like the Dragon Sword and Falcon’s Talons, and you can chop off enemy arms and legs. When an enemy’s missing a limb, you can finish them off fast with a brutal move called an Obliteration Technique.
Forklifts
There are 3 confirmed sightings of forklifts in the game. All of them acts only as scenery items, and one of them can be seen during a cutscene. The forklift models vary slightly from the original game and its remasters.
