Overwatch 2 is a free-to-play, team-based action game set in an optimistic future, where each match is a 5v5 battlefield brawl. The game features over 30 unique heroes, including time-jumping freedom fighters and beat-dropping battlefield DJs, and the roster has expanded to include 43 characters as of Season 16 with the addition of Freja.

The game's dynamic, round-based PvP mode known as Stadium continues to evolve with smarter build tools, fresh heroes and maps, and Competitive upgrades like Drives and a rank reset to push mastery to the next level. Overwatch 2 has also introduced new features like hero bans, new abilities, and third-person gameplay in Stadium, which were in development long before its competitor Marvel Rivals launched.

The game includes various modes such as Core modes, which have expanded with a new Flashpoint map and the debut of Map Voting, giving players the power to choose where the action unfolds. Overwatch 2 also features Mythics that drop at launch, allowing players to use D.Va’s tiger spirit skin or Reaper’s twin terror weapons of chaos from day one. The game's development has seen the introduction of a Battle Pass system where new heroes are typically released every two seasons, and since Season 10, players can unlock heroes for free in the FPS game without purchasing the battle pass.

In the game there are forklifts placed all arount the game world. The brand OW08 is decaled onto them.
