Collectibles are items scattered throughout a game world that players can gather for rewards, lore, or completion.  They range from coins and cards to unique artifacts and can enhance gameplay, deepen narrative, or offer cosmetic upgrades. When well-designed, collectibles encourage exploration and engagement, but poorly implemented ones can feel tedious or pointless.
