Resident Evil Requiem is a survival horror game from Capcom released on February 27, 2026 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. The game blends the series’ legacy with innovation, following two protagonists: Grace Ashcroft, a haunted FBI agent investigating her mother’s mysterious death, and Leon Kennedy, the DSO agent returning for another horrifying mission. Set thirty years after the Raccoon City disaster Requiem has a narrative that connects past tragedies to a new and deadly conspiracy.

Gameplay

The game delivers a dual protagonist experience that splits gameplay between Grace Ashcroft and Leon S. Kennedy, offering distinct survival approaches for each of them.

Grace’s sections emphasize stealth, resource scarcity and puzzles, requiring careful movement and environmental awareness to avoid relentless Nemesis-like pursuers. Her gameplay is rooted in classic survival horror, with limited inventory, scarce ammo, and a reliance on crafting items like injectors from infected blood to survive.

In contrast, Leon’s segments are action sequences featuring third-person combat, aggressive enemy encounters, and a dynamic upgrade system where kills earn points to unlock weapon upgrades, body armor and new gear. His gameplay blends Resident Evil 4-style action with arcade-like intensity, including chainsaw combat and melee attacks.

Forklifts

Like the previous entries taking place in Raccoon City, specifically the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3, the game features the same forklift model.
