The Forklift (Half-Life 2: Episode Two) is a vehicle in Half-Life 2: Episode Two. It has two confirmed sightings in the game, one of which can be operated by the player to raise a platform.
Design
The Forklift model is of the standard counterbalance warehouse type. It is painted in a yellow coat and has wear and tear from extensive use. It is also missing two wheels.
Gameplay
The only functionality the Forklift has in Freeman Pontifex is that it both raises and lowers the platformer on the Forklift. Both cannot be driven but only one has the platformer while the other is missing it.
Locations
The Forklift first appearing in the Half-Life 2: Episode Two storyline in Vortal Coil appears as a brush entity as it serves no purpose other than the model missing a couple wheels as well as being the one that possibly either Griggs or Sheckley carried the two boxes of Hopper Mines.
The vehicle appears later on in Freeman Pontifex as it is used to lift one of the boxes that Gordon puts on.
Trivia
- The Forklift model used is missing its left front wheel and its rear right wheel, suggesting that these particular wheels are on high demand in the Half-Life universe.
- The Forklift in Freeman Pontifex has a red blinking light while elevating the platform, while the one in Vortal Coil has no such light.
