Alien Swarm: Reactive Drop is a free, top-down tactical shooter where up to eight players coordinate as space marines to survive relentless waves of alien creatures. Released in 2017 as a standalone expansion to Valve's original 2010 game, it features nine distinct campaigns where squads must complete objectives while managing limited ammunition and health.
Gameplay
Before starting, each player selects one of four roles: the Officer who buffs the team and deals heavy damage, the Special Weapons operator who handles crowd control, the Medic who heals allies, or the Tech who hacks consoles to advance the mission.
Success relies entirely on staying together and coordinating roles, as lone marines are easily overwhelmed and friendly fire is always active. Players must manage limited ammunition, use environmental hazards like explosive barrels to their advantage, and rely on class-specific tools such as the Tech's motion tracker or the Medic's healing beacons to keep the squad alive.
Forklifts
There's a bunch of forklifts in the game acting as scenery items.
