Abiotic Factor is a first-person survival crafting game set in 1993 where players assume the role of scientists trapped in a massive underground research facility called GATE after a catastrophic containment breach. Stranded miles beneath the Australian outback, you must scavenge office supplies and furniture to craft weapons, tools, and defenses while managing basic needs like hunger, thirst, and fatigue against hostile aliens, rogue robots, and a paramilitary group known as The Order.

Gameplay

The player steps into the worn shoes of a scientist arriving for their first day at the GATE research facility, buried deep beneath the Australian outback in 1993. What begins as a routine orientation quickly unravels when a mysterious rift tears open, unleashing hostile creatures and cutting off all escape routes. Now stranded in the sprawling, dimly lit complex, the player must scavenge office supplies, dismantle furniture, and repurpose whatever they can find to survive.

Forklifts

Forklifts in the game are the workhorses of the facility, serving as drivable vehicles that excel at transporting large quantities of items across the map. Unlike the portable Platform Cart, these industrial machines offer 24 inventory slots in their front wooden box, making them ideal for hoarding resources or moving your entire base when you decide to relocate. However, they are not craftable and must be found in specific locations like the Manufacturing West garage, the Mapping Center, or near the Dusk Reactor, where you'll need to repair them with a Power Cell before they can be used.
