Dead Rising 3 is the seventh installment in the Dead Rising series, released on November 22, 2013, developed by Capcom Vancouver and published by Microsoft Studios. The game is set in 2021, ten years after the events of Dead Rising 2, in the fictional city of Los Perdidos, California. It follows the story of Nick Ramos, a young mechanic who must survive a massive zombie outbreak and escape the city before a military strike wipes it out. The game features an open-world environment that is much larger than the worlds of previous games, allowing players to explore and fight zombies in a variety of ways. Players can save their progress anywhere, and the game includes a "Nightmare Mode" for those who prefer the traditional time limit and save options. Dead Rising 3 also expands upon the crafting system introduced in Dead Rising 2, allowing players to create "combo weapons" and "combo vehicles" on the fly. The game received positive reviews, with IGN giving it an 8.3/10. The game's story mode is longer than 72 hours, and it includes multiple alternate endings based on player choices. The game was also released on PC in 2014, with the "Apocalypse Edition" available for pre-order.

The "Forkwork" is a vehicle in Dead Rising 3 that can seat Nick and one other passenger. It is very slow and has relatively low durability. Additionally, it is easy to tip over if trying to take a turn too sharply, and should only be driven in a desperate situation. Nick can use the forks on the forklift by tapping, but it is only a novelty as the forks don't actually lift anything. The forklift can be combined with a Fireworks Van to make the Forkwork.
