Doom (2016) is a high-octane reboot of the legendary first-person shooter franchise, developed by id Software and published by Bethesda Softworks. Set in the year 2148 on a Union Aerospace Corporation (UAC) research facility on Mars, the game revitalizes the "push-forward" combat style that defined the early era of the genre.

Gameplay

Players step into the praetor suit of the Doom Slayer, an ancient warrior awakened to quell a demonic invasion triggered by the UAC's harvesting of Argent Energy from Hell. The single-player campaign emphasizes speed and aggression through "Glory Kills," which reward players with health and ammo. The arsenal includes iconic weaponry like the Super Shotgun, Chainsaw, and BFG 9000, all of which can be enhanced via specialized weapon mods found throughout the UAC facility and the depths of Hell.

Forklifts

Within the industrial sectors of the UAC Mars facility, futuristic forklift models can be found stationed near loading bays and storage crates. These high-tech units feature a sleek, heavy-duty aesthetic consistent with the facility's 22nd-century engineering. While they serve as impressive environmental props that anchor the setting's industrial realism, they are unfortunately not drivable by the Slayer.
