Escape from Tarkov is a hardcore tactical multiplayer first-person shooter developed by Battlestate Games. Set in the fictional Norvinsk region of Russia, the game depicts a localized conflict between two private military companies, USEC and BEAR, amidst a city sealed off by the military. It is renowned for its steep learning curve and high-stakes "extraction" gameplay.
Gameplay
The experience blends realistic ballistics, an intricate health system, and deep weapon customization with survival and looting mechanics. Players enter "raids" as a PMC or Scavenger (Scav), navigating maps to secure loot and combat others before reaching an extraction point. Outside of raids, players manage their "Hideout," a personal bunker that provides passive bonuses and crafting capabilities. The game remains in a persistent beta state with periodic "wipes" that reset player progress.
Forklifts
In the decaying "Factory" map, players can undertake a specific quest titled "Forklift Certified" given by the Mechanic NPC. This objective requires the player to locate 12 specific broken forklifts scattered throughout the industrial facility. According to the lore, the Mechanic intends to scavenge functional parts from these units to assemble a single working forklift for his own use.
